Maria Fernanda Gomez de Llarena

Born into a family of artists and architects the passion and understanding for living spaces and the importance to details came very natural to her. After studying her undergraduate degree in architecture at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, she then pursued a Master’s Program in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University of New York. 

Working in New York for Pei, Cobb, Freed & Partners she returned to Caracas were she took over as partner in the award winning family firm Benacerraf & Gómez Arquitectura.

She then pursued teaching positions at her Alma Mater and in 1999 joined the opposition leader Leopoldo López team as Head of City Planning of the Chacao Municipality from were she led  the transformation of the urban landscape and construction of schools, medical facilities, parks, plazas, markets and institutional structures. 

When returning to the private sector were she has done consultancy and management of projects  and developments at various scales and designed architecture and interior decor interventions. Upon her relocation to Madrid were she currently lives she founded GOMEZ ROCHE a partnership that enables the Development of Design at it’s highest level and potential at different scales.

Alvaro Roche C

Born in Paris, France to an architect mother and a film director father his upbringing was one of freedom and creativity. He studied designed and art history at Parson School of Design and Bennington College. His formative years were spent working in fashion, first with Gianfranco Ferre in Italy, then founding his own company that grew into a children’s retail chain of over 150 stores.

Living in the US opened many opportunities to further his design experience from fashion to construction and decoration. He has designed and built over 50 stores and restaurants in the US and Latin America as well as several private residences.

Moving to Spain he re encountered a childhood friend, MFG, and together founded Gomez Roche, to design and develop spaces both public and private that are esthetically modern but that marry both past and future.
